 A set of 430-433 million year old Sea Scorpion fossils have been found on the Bruce Peninsula, making them the oldest scorpion fossils to be discovered on North America, only slightly outlived by a distant relative found in Scotland.

Published in the Royal Society journal Biology Letters, the findings were co-authored by the Royal Ontario Museum’s Janet Waddington, David Rudkin, and the Museum für Naturkunde’s Jason Dunlop. Scorpian
